My name is Diana Bading and I am a certified translator for the German, English and Spanish languages. Your texts will be translated and proofread by me in a competent, reliable and efficient manner. I will, of course, treat the content of your texts with the utmost discretion and I take your requirements and wishes very seriously.
I specialise in translating technical and legal texts, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy as well as on translating official documents and certificates. My other specialist areas include sport, tourism and the environment. I completed my degree in translation at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Germany. English and Spanish were my primary subjects and Law my secondary subject.
As a sworn translator authorised by the Regional Court of Potsdam, I am entitled to certify translated documents. In addition, I am member of the German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ).
Energy industry and energy generation
My particular area of expertise is renewable energy, whereby I translate and proofread technical documentation, catalogues and websites relating to photovoltaics, solar thermal energy and wind power.

My qualifications
After graduating as a translator at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, I worked for several years as the head of department and project manager at a language service provider in Berlin. German, English and Spanish are my working languages. I specialise in technical translation, with a particular interest in renewable energy. I also have considerable experience in translating official documents, being a sworn translator authorised by the Regional Court of Potsdam.
As a qualified translator, I am member of the German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ). I have also gained additional qualifications in the translation and renewable energy fields as part of seminars run by the BDÜ and the German Association for Solar Energy (DGS). Photovoltaics and solar thermal energy were the themes of a language workshop I held at a BDÜ technology seminar in Munich. I have also authored a German-English biometrics glossary published by the Bundesdruckerei GmbH in Berlin.
Since 2010, I have been active as a freelance translator in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany. I focus on translating and proofreading texts and, depending on the type of project, I also work together with other translators. I share my office with freivonform, a brand communication agency. Our different services complement each other perfectly, thus creating synergies and enhancing efficiency.

Zuverlässig, zeitnah und korrekt wurden die erbetenen Arbeiten erledigt und selbst unter erheblichem Zeitdruck, der vom Auftraggeber aufgrund der Anforderungen z. B. des Internationalen Ruderverbandes, entstand, war das Arbeiten, mit Freundlichkeit und Verständnis gepaart, stets eine Freude für die Mitarbeiter des LRV-Brandenburg und das Bewerbungs-Team mit Diana Bading zusammenarbeiten zu können.

Frau Diplom-Übersetzerin Diana Bading hat in den letzten Jahren für das Landgericht Neuruppin als allgemein ermächtigte Übersetzerin mehrfach Übersetzungen von gerichtlichen Schriftstücken in die englische und spanische Sprache vorgenommen.

Courts, notaries and other authorities normally require a certification clause under the translation, which specifically confirms that it is a true and complete translation. As a sworn translator authorised by the Regional Court of Potsdam, I provide certified translations including the stamp and signature.

Depending on the type of project, I work together with a select group of fellow translators if the texts are too large to be translated by a single person or if they need to be translated into languages other than German.
